Contract: 14 April 2026 to 6 November 2026 Location: Admiralty Drive Working Hours: once a week during school terms (except school holidays): Tuesdays, 1.30pm to 3.30pm (2 hours) Job description Support a group of Primary 5 and Primary 6 high-needs students with complex and challenging behavioural needs. Ratio will be capped at one youth worker to a maximum of five students from the same level. Establish positive and supportive relationships with high-needs students, providing guidance and mentorship to address their challenges and concerns. Design and implement activities to engage high-needs students with challenging behavioural needs. Support high-needs students in developing positive peer relationships and social-emotional competencies. Monitor and track high-needs students participation and engagement in programme activities. Share updates and progress on high-needs students participation and programme impact to inform ongoing monitoring and improvement. Document observations to provide actionable feedback for teachers. Evaluate the programme, including collecting and analysing feedback from high-needs students. Requirements registered with the Ministry of Education A Diploma in Counselling, Social Work, or an equivalent qualification. At least two years of experience working with high-needs students at the primary or lower secondary level. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Passion and a positive disposition to work with at-risk students. Empathy towards students with social-emotional and learning needs.
