Accounting Technician

?? Pay Rate: £14.82 per hour

Hays is proud to be partnering with a local council to recruit an Accounting Technician to support their Corporate Finance team. This short-term role sits within the Treasury Management section and plays a key part in preparing for year-end close-down.

The successful candidate will be responsible for clearing suspense items and supporting essential financial processes that ensure accurate and timely reporting.

? Key Responsibilities

• Work within the Treasury Management section of Corporate Finance
• Clear and reconcile suspense items ahead of year-end
• Support financial processes to ensure compliance and accuracy

? Candidate Requirements

• Experience working in a financial environment
• Part-qualified or fully qualified AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
