As a Management Accountant within our central Controllership team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and reliability of the financial information that underpins our strategic decisions. Your work will directly support Civica’s mission to help public services operate at their best. What you will do to be successful in this role

Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and well-controlled period-end close activities for an assigned business area
• Prepare, review and post journals with clear supporting evidence and audit trails
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliations, issue identification and timely resolution
• Provide high-quality actuals and variance analysis to support the wider Finance function.
• Produce consistent management accounting outputs that support insight and decision-making
• Resolve accounting and close-related queries efficiently, escalating when needed

Requirements

• Strong understanding of management accounting, period-end close and balance sheet controls
• Experience preparing journals, reconciliations and variance analysis
• Ability to apply sound accounting judgement to interpret and validate financial data
• High attention to detail with focus on data quality, controls and auditability
• Strong analytical skills, able to explain financial movements clearly and concisely
• Effective communicator who works collaboratively across finance teams
