Luxury Bag Appraiser

The Role:

As a Luxury Bag Appraiser, you will evaluate, authenticate, and determine the resale value of luxury bags and small leather goods. You will inspect items, assess condition and authenticity, conduct price research, negotiate purchases, and ensure inventory accuracy throughout the intake process.

You will:

Appraisal & Authentication

• Appraise and authenticate luxury bags and small leather goods.
• Conduct physical and visual inspection of material, construction, hardware, stamping, and identifiers.
• Document authentication notes and condition assessments accurately and consistently.

Pricing & Acquisition

• Perform market research to determine the appropriate resale value and acquisition price.
• Negotiate with sellers (in-store and online) to secure inventory at optimal margins.
• Maintain appraisal records and pricing data to support reporting and insights.

Operations & Collaboration

• Perform quality control checks for inbound and outbound inventory.
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Logistics, and Warehouse Operations to ensure smooth store and inventory flow.
• Support internal knowledge sharing and product training when required.

Digital & Documentation

• Maintain proper documentation and inventory records within internal systems.
• Use digital tools (including light use of AI tools) to streamline research and documentation where helpful.

Ideal Profile:

• 3–5 years of experience in luxury authentication, appraisal, or product verification.
• Strong understanding of luxury resale market pricing and value assessment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observation skills.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Highly organised and able to work to defined processes.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a collaborative team player.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail or start-up environment.
• Familiarity with digital or AI tools to optimise workflow
