📋 Description

• Owning compliance with worldwide laws applicable to AI, e-commerce platforms • Contracts and assessments required under data protection law, including the (DPAs, TIAs, etc.) • Preparing, maintaining required compliance documentation, e.g.: • Internal documentation under data protection, AI Governance, consumer rights, and similar laws • EverAI’s AI systems inventory (in line with EU guidance) • Product & feature reviews (e.g., for consumer rights, data protection compliance) • Owning day-to-day compliance tasks: • Standard IP issues (e.g., DMCA notices, copycats) • Contract reviews (NDAs, licenses) • Legal terms updates (including TOS, Notices, and content policies) • Tracking, researching and analyzing relevant legal developments (e.g., the application of new laws or regulatory guidance to EverAI)

🎯 Requirements

• Legal education (e.g., Masters of Law, Juris Doctor, recognized legal certification) • 2-6 years of experience as legal counsel or similar positions: • At least 2 years of your experience must be working with contracts, generally, and data protection law, specifically. For example: • You should know what a Data Protection Agreement and Transfer Impact Assessment are, and have some experience preparing them; • You should have experience contacting vendors about contract-related issues. • Ability to distill complex legal concepts into plain English • Strong communication & collaborative skills (perfectly fluent in English) • Goal-oriented, ownership and commitment • Doer mindset - we are moving fast and need people who can balance execution, planning, and strategy • Humble - willing to learn, open to feedback • Comfortable reviewing and discussing uncensored AI-generated content and NSFW material
