Finance Manager (6-Month Contract)

Salary: £45,000–£55,000

Chalk Hill Group are supporting an established SME, based in Basingstoke, in their search for a hands-on Finance Manager to support a busy finance function within a small, collaborative team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in financial processing, reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices
• Review customer contracts for correct financial treatment
• Conduct cost centre analysis and monitor performance
• Manage purchase ledger and supplier reconciliations
• Handle credit control and maintain cash book
• Support preparation of management accounts to trial balance
• Use Xero for daily accounting and reporting
• Provide financial insights to senior leadership

Skills & Experience:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with Xero or similar systems
• Good analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
