Role Details

  • Location: Westminster, London
  • Start Date: April 2026 (long-term contract)
  • Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Pay: £95-£97 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Supportive and welcoming school environment

The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality classroom support and ensure pupils are fully engaged in their learning. You will support individuals and small groups, helping pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve strong academic progress.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting KS2 pupils in class and in small intervention groups
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Promoting positive behaviour and inclusive learning
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and school activities

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting (KS2 experience desirable)
  • Be proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting pupils
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Graduates with a strong interest in education are encouraged to apply
