Transport Area Co-ordinator

Transport Area Co-ordinator Short term temporary support to assess mainstream home to school transport applications. Initially for 6 weeks with possible extension as needed.

Transport Area Co-ordinator Role includes interpreting the home to school transport eligibility criteria, completing transport assessments using the Council's transport planning system, updating spreadsheets with assessment criteria for process by Admin support.

Job Description (key information):Reporting to the Integrated Transport Unit (ITU) Manager, to

be responsible for coordinating transport arrangements throughout Flintshire, ensuring the

delivery of safe and efficient transport services, acting as a central point of contact for

parents, customers, establishments, and providing professional support to Flintshire staff and

Members on a range of transport operations matters, including public transport (services,

infrastructure), community transport, home-to-school transport, SEN/additional learning needs,

adult social care, college and children's services transport. Responsible and accountable for

delivering a proactive, excellent customer focused service, and for the quality and performance

of transport operations within a geographical area and effective contract management of a wide
