• Pay Rate:****£23.35 - £24.35 per hour. (PAYE)
• Work Schedule: Mon-Thu: 08:00 - 16:45, Fri: 08:00 - 12:30.

You will be accountable for a designated supplier base, acting as the primary liaison between internal departments like Engineering, Finance, and Production and the external supply network. Your mission is to deliver a lean, responsive material flow from source to dock while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement supply network procurement activities to meet CSD targets and create a competitive advantage.
• Identify performance gaps within the supplier base and develop robust improvement plans.
• Launch and manage POs for prototypes and production, ensuring all contractual terms and Defence regulations are strictly met.
• Resolve facility-specific supplier issues and manage parts obsolescence to meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in a supply chain or purchasing environment.

• An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.

• High proficiency in MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

• A clean driving license

• Experience with MRP systems (QAD EE is a major plus).

• Professional certification like CIPS.

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
