Veterinary Doctor (Poultry Production)

Responsibilities Monitor and manage the overall health and welfare of poultry flocks Diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases in poultry Develop and implement effective vaccination and medication programs Enforce strict biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks Conduct routine farm inspections and comprehensive health assessments Provide expert guidance on poultry nutrition, feeding programs, and flock management Supervise and train farm staff on animal health, welfare practices, and biosecurity protocols Manage and coordinate a large workforce (200+ poultry production staff), ensuring effective supervision and productivity Investigate and manage disease outbreaks, including proper reporting and containment measures Maintain accurate and up-to-date veterinary and production records Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards Collaborate with farm management to improve productivity and reduce mortality rates Monitor drug usage and ensure adherence to prescribed withdrawal periods Utilize data management systems to track performance, analyze trends, and support decision-making.
