Job Summary The Station Cashier is responsible for handling all cash and electronic transactions at the station, ensuring accurate billing, proper documentation, and excellent customer service. The role requires integrity, attention to detail, and adherence to company financial procedures. Key Responsibilities Receive payments (cash, POS, transfers) for fuel and other products sold Issue receipts and ensure accurate recording of all transactions Maintain proper cash control and ensure zero discrepancies Reconcile daily sales and prepare end-of-shift reports Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately Attend to customer inquiries and provide prompt service Ensure proper documentation of sales (PMS, AGO, LPG, lubricants, etc.) Report any cash shortages, overages, or suspicious transactions immediately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area Support stock tracking by recording product sales accurately Work closely with pump attendants and supervisors to ensure smooth operations Adhere strictly to company policies, financial controls, and safety standards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy of transactions and cash balancing Zero or minimal cash discrepancies Speed and efficiency of service Customer satisfaction level Compliance with financial procedures Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of OND / SSCE (additional qualification is an advantage) 1–3 years’ experience in a cashier or retail role (preferably in oil & gas) Basic knowledge of accounting principles Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling Strong numerical and record-keeping skills Good communication and customer service skills High level of honesty and integrity Key Competencies Attention to detail.
