Role Overview The Project Manager will lead strategic initiatives within the Banking PMO to ensure projects align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and financial targets. This role requires a balance of rigorous methodology and the agility to navigate a complex financial services environment. Key Responsibilities Project Governance: Execute projects using the bank's defined framework (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and ensure all documentation meets audit and compliance standards. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for department heads, IT leads, and risk officers to manage expectations and report progress. Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, track actual spending against forecasts, and manage vendor contracts or procurement processes. Risk & Compliance: Identify potential roadblocks including security vulnerabilities or regulatory shifts and develop mitigation strategies to protect the bank's assets. Resource Coordination: Collaborate with functional managers to secure team members and manage cross-departmental dependencies. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science. Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within a retail or investment banking PMO. Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (CSM/SAFe) certification is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Clarity PPM, along with a strong understanding of core banking systems or digital transformation. Preferred Competencies: Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex financial data. Excellent communication skills for presenting to executive steering committees. Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure system deployments or "go-live" phases.
