Open Market Representative (OMR)

About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Open Market Representative (OMR) to drive sales, visibility, and distribution of the across traditional trade outlets (open markets, kiosks, neighborhood stores) and modern trade channels (supermarkets and retail chains). The ideal candidate must have strong market knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and a passion for achieving sales targets in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Key Responsibilities Drive sales growth and achieve assigned targets within designated territories Ensure product availability, visibility, and proper merchandising across all outlets Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and store managers Identify and onboard new customers in both traditional and modern trade channels Execute in-store promotions and trade activation initiatives Monitor competitors’ activities and provide market intelligence Ensure timely order collection, delivery follow-up, and payment reconciliation Maintain accurate records of daily sales and field activities. Requirements Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields 1–3 years experience in FMCG sales, preferably in open market or field sales roles Strong knowledge of Lagos market routes (Lekki–Epe axis is an advantage) Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and meet targets Must be energetic, proactive, and result-oriented Familiarity with both traditional and modern trade operations.
