ROLE SUMMARY The Sales Partner (1st Line Manager) is a critical leadership role within the Sales Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for directly managing a team of sales representatives, driving secondary sales targets, and expanding market reach across Lagos. This role requires a proven FMCG sales professional with strong team leadership capabilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly manage and lead a team of sales representatives to ensure they meet and exceed their secondary sales targets. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of sales representatives and distributors across assigned territories. Drive primary sales targets for the region and report performance against KPIs to the Head of Sales. Identify and appoint new distributors to expand the company's market reach in Lagos and surrounding areas. Execute market expansion strategies and ensure consistent brand presence at the retail level. Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and provide timely feedback to senior management. Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key retailers, and trade partners. Train, coach, and motivate field sales representatives to improve productivity and performance. Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity summaries. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 3–4 years of proven sales experience in hardcore FMCG (Food) in Lagos. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is mandatory. Strong understanding of Lagos distribution networks, trade channels, and market dynamics. Demonstrated ability to meet consistently and exceed sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Highly motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Must be mobile and comfortable with extensive field work across Lagos.
