Description
The objectives of the project are to improve the nutritional status of children under five through effective management of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), provide XXXX XXXX supplementation to vulnerable households and malnourished children as a preventive and supportive nutrition intervention, strengthen early detection and referral systems for malnutrition through regular community-based screening, and promote optimal MIYCF practices among caregivers to prevent malnutrition. Key Responsibilities Supervise Nutrition Assistants and ensure quality implementation of programme activities. Supervise community nutrition activities, including screening, enrolment, follow-up and growth monitoring of beneficiaries. Request RUTF for OTP and ensure zero misuse while supervising stock card accurately. Oversee the selection and engagement of Lead Mothers across targeted communities. Supervise the weekly XXXX XXXX preparation and distribution activities conducted by care groups. Supervise creation of Mother-to-mother support group and develop weekly topics for discussion. Ensure programme activities are implemented according to standards. Training and Capacity Building Train and mentor Nutrition Assistants, Facilitators, Health workers, Community Nutrition Mobilizers (CNMs), and Lead Mothers on: XXXX XXXX implementation standards. OTP activities Data tools MUAC screening and beneficiary identification Community-based nutrition monitoring Proper preparation and hygiene practices for XXXX XXXX blended flour. Community Screening and Case Identification Supervise community screening activities including house-to-house MUAC screening. Ensure proper identification and enrolment of eligible beneficiaries. Oversee follow-up visits and growth monitoring for enrolled beneficiaries. Programme Coordination Coordinate with SPHCDA and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of project activities. Coordinate the redemption of grains at vendor sites. Support the distribution of Non-Food Items (NFIs) required for XXXX XXXX production and care group activities. Ensure the availability and proper use of programme data tools for OTP and XXXX XXXX activities. Monitoring, Data Management and Reporting Ensure accurate documentation of programme activities and beneficiary data. Ensure that data tools are correctly completed and submitted from all project sites. Prepare and submit monthly programme reports to the Nutrition Coordinator. Submit monthly 5Ws to State. Incident Management Report programme incidents or operational challenges promptly to the Nutrition Manager. Other Duties Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support programme implementation. Education and experience A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field.
