Mechanical Rotating Engineer / Technician
Description
Key Responsibilities Plan, supervise, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of rotating equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and generators. Perform vibration analysis, alignment checks, and condition monitoring of rotating machinery. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and reliability. Ensure machinery is installed, operated, and maintained according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and logs of rotating equipment performance. Support commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities for rotating machinery. Implement reliability improvement initiatives and recommend upgrades or replacements where necessary. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards (API, ISO, OEM guidelines). Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance, preferably in oil & gas, power, or industrial plants. Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and generators. Experience in condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and alignment procedures. Proficient in maintenance management systems (CMMS/EAM). Familiarity with industry standards and OEM manuals.
