HMO Billing & Administrative Officer

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HMO Billing & Administrative Officer to manage HMO billing processes while supporting day-to-day administrative operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate claims processing, efficient office coordination, and smooth communication between patients, HMOs, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit HMO claims accurately and on time Verify patient eligibility and HMO coverage Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve rejections/denials Reconcile HMO payments and maintain billing records Liaise with HMOs on billing issues and approvals Ensure compliance with billing guidelines and policies Handle office administrative tasks Maintain patient records and documentation systems Coordinate appointments and support patient scheduling Manage correspondence (emails, calls, and official documents) Support other departments with administrative needs Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Health Information Management, or related field Proven experience in HMO billing and/or administrative roles Good understanding of HMO processes and healthcare operations Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting Familiarity with medical billing software Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
