Site Engineer - Rail Depot Equipment

As a Site Engineer, you will oversee on-site installation, coordination, and supervision of rail depot equipment, ensuring works are executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with technical specifications. The role also supports testing & commissioning, resolves site technical issues, and manages progress reporting and quality documentation. Responsibilities: · Responsible for engineering, installation and testing of Depot equipment for large Depot projects in the Asia Pacific Region. i.e. Design and Testing deliverable completion, clarification meetings with client and other System Wide Contractors, follow up with Depot Equipment Suppliers. • Prepare submissions of documents, delivering test procedures (FAT, SAT, ITC, TTR) • Prepare Method statement for Delivery and Installation of Depot Equipment. • Prepare and carry out Depot Equipment Factory and Site Acceptance tests with accuracy as stated in the relevant test and design documents. • Assisting Installation works, while working closely with Installation Manager. • Testing and Commissioning of Depot Equipment as required, demonstrating that the system is operational and meets the requirements of the contract and technical specifications. • Assisting in Quality audits on Depot Equipment suppliers, while working closely with Quality Manger. • Work closely with Project teams, interfacing, Depot Equipment suppliers, T&C teams including coordination with various interface partners. • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Essential Requirements: · Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university) Minimum 1 year of project management in railway projects preferably in Depot Equipment projects. Minimum 1 year of relevant professional experience, after tertiary education in rail transit and infrastructure projects of similar scale. • Preferably with experience in Coordination, Delivery and installation of Depot Equipment particularly for complex Rail Depot projects. • Experience in coordination of an LTA project. Preferably with knowledge in the installation and civil provision in the installation of Depot Equipment, i.e Train Wash Plants, Lifting Equipment, Underfloor Wheel Lathes etc. and its delivery and installation to Site. • Experience in interpreting and understanding Civil Combined Services Drawing (CSD), Structural, Electrical & Mechanical Drawing (SEM). • Involvement in Previously executed MRT Depot projects in Singapore is preferred. · Fast learner and keen to learn. • Good problem-solving skills and analyticalthinki
