The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) provides a vibrant and nurturing environment for staff and students to carry out inter-disciplinary research in key areas such as Characterisation Materials Science, Computational Materials Science, Composite Materials, Functional Composite Materials, Energy, Nanomaterials, Low Dimensional Materials, Biomaterials Materials, Bioinspired Materials and Sustainable Materials. We are seeking a highly motivated research fellow to join our dynamic team at the School of Materials and Science Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of materials science, advanced manufacturing, and physical chemistry. Key Responsibilities: Conduct independent research in areas related to material science and engineering in elastomer synthesis, and composites preparation Develop and implementation of elastomer adhesives Optimization of formulation for 3D printing and 2D printing Contribute to ongoing ionic liquid formation projects Design and prototype and scalable processing Collaborate with faculty, industry partners and other researchers on interdisciplinary projects Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences Assist in mentoring students Job Requirement Ph.D. in Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science etc. Strong background in formulations of elastomers and their synthesis Experience in adhesives applications and their characterization Proficiency in ionic liquid handling and techniques Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with machine learning in engineering is advantageous We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
