Starter Android App Development
Description
Budget: $250 - $750
I’m preparing to step into the freelancing world with my first software project and I want that debut to be a solid, well-built Android application. My core need is clear: end-to-end development of a clean, functional, and well-documented Android app that I can showcase on my profile and, just as importantly, learn from.
Here’s what I have in mind: • An original yet reasonably simple app idea we can discuss together—nothing too large-scale, but enough to demonstrate UI best practices, efficient Kotlin code, modern Android architecture (MVVM or similar), and an API call or two so I understand networking flow. • Full source code with comments I can follow, plus a short readme explaining build steps, key libraries, and where future features could slot in. • A quick walkthrough call or screen-recording so I see how you structure the project, handle version control, and prep the release APK.
The focus is mobile only, Android only. Feel free to bring your favorite stack—Android Studio, Kotlin, Jetpack, Retrofit, Room, or other proven tools. I’m mainly after clarity, clean architecture, and a finished APK ready to upload to a test track in Google Play Console.
If you enjoy mentoring while building, this should be straightforward. Let me know a concise plan, timeframe, and any previous lightweight showcase apps you’ve done.
