Reclaim Full Android App Ownership

I hired a developer to build my Android app but, for personal reasons, I no longer wish to keep the project under their control. I need an experienced professional who can step in immediately and hand every part of the project back to me so I become the sole owner of my code, stores, and servers.

The scope covers three areas:

• Codebase & repository management

• Secure the complete, up-to-date source code, libraries, assets, build scripts, g keys, and any automation files from the current developer.

• Create and populate a private GitHub or Bitbucket repository under my account, ensuring I can pull, build, and push without errors.

• Transfer or recreate the Play Console listing in my own Google account, migrate the package name and g certificates, confirm the release track history, and make sure I can publish updates independently.

• Verify that all services tied to the listing (in-app purchases, Firebase, Google APIs, etc.) point to credentials I control.

• App hosting & server management

• Identify every backend or third-party service in use (Firebase, AWS, custom VPS, APIs).
• Migrate databases, storage buckets, and API endpoints to my billing accounts, updating environment files and URL endpoints in the code.
• Deliver working staging and production environments with documented access credentials.

Acceptance criteria

1. I can clone the repository, open it in Android Studio, build, and sign an APK/AAB without requesting anything from the former developer.
2. I have sole access to the Play Console listing and can roll out a new release.
3. All live features function correctly on my infrastructure, with credentials stored only in my own accounts.

Clear, prompt communication is essential, as I may need you to liaise briefly with the original developer to obtain assets. If you have deep experience in Android Studio, Git, Google Play Console, Firebase/AWS, and general server administration, I’m ready to get started right away.
