Elevation & V-Zone Certificate Update
Description
I’m adding a small residential room—under 500 sq ft—to my property in Southeastern North Carolina and need all the flood-related paperwork squared away before permitting. Specifically, I require a current FEMA Elevation Certificate and a separate V-Zone Certificate signed and sealed by a licensed surveyor or engineer authorized to work in NC.
I already have a recent digital site plan in DWG/PDF format and can send it immediately. You’ll only need to locate the new footprint on that plan and incorporate any supporting spot shots you collect during your field visit. After the survey, prepare the certificates in the latest FEMA form version and return both the completed PDF copies and the updated CAD file showing the addition.
Deliverables will be considered complete once: • The Elevation Certificate and V-Zone Certificate are filled out fully, bear your professional stamp, and meet county review standards. • The site plan clearly depicts the new <500 sq ft addition with finished-floor elevations tied to NAVD 88. • All files are returned in PDF for submission and DWG (or equivalent) for my records.
If you’re local or routinely service Brunswick/New Hanover counties, that’s ideal, but I’m open to nearby professionals who can travel. Please let me know your estimated turnaround time from notice-to-proceed to finalized documents.
