Vacancy Announcement: Human Resources Manager Habesha Steel Mills PLC is seeking a strategic and operationally-driven Human Resources Manager to lead our HR department and drive organizational excellence at our factory. This role is critical in managing our diverse workforce, including our international staff, while ensuring full compliance with national regulations and organizational standards. Job Summary The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. You will act as a strategic partner to senior management, ensuring that HR initiatives align with the company's industrial goals and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing environments, a deep understanding of labor laws, and a passion for developing a high-performing workforce. Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership: Implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s industrial production goals. Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for technical, administrative, and leadership roles to ensure a steady pipeline of talent. Expat: Support the end-to-end lifecycle of international employees, including recruitment, mobilization, and repatriation. Performance Management: Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and continuous improvement. Employee Relations: Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues; maintain a positive and productive workplace culture. Compliance & Legal: Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management (Ethiopian Labour Proclamation and regional regulations). Compensation & Benefits: Manage payroll oversight, salary reviews, and benefit programs to ensure market competitiveness. Training & Development: Identify training needs for the factory and office staff; monitor the effectiveness of training programs. Industrial Safety & Housekeeping: Support the integration of safety protocols and industrial frameworks like Kaizen (5S) within HR workflows.
