SENIOR IMPORT PROCESSOR

Job Summary:  The Senior Import Processor is responsible for managing and overseeing all import operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and facilitating timely and cost-effective clearance of goods. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities while supervising junior staff. Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end import documentation (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, permits).  Ensure compliance with customs laws, trade regulations, and company policies.  Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents.  Monitor shipment status and resolve delays or discrepancies.  Calculate duties, taxes, and other import-related costs.  Prepare and submit import declarations and required documentation.  Liaise with government authorities and customs offices.   Supervise and support junior import staff.  Maintain accurate records and reporting systems.  Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
