Agronomist, Location Ethiopia  Job Objective The primary objective of this role is to ensure effective pest management and optimal crop production through the application of integrated technical knowledge, continuous monitoring, and data-driven decision-making. The position focuses on maintaining plant health, improving productivity, and supporting sustainable agricultural practices.   Job Summary/Main Purpose   Technical Skills :-  Important technical competencies include: Pest and disease identification Scouting and monitoring techniques Knowledge of Biological Pest Control Understanding of Crop Protection practices Data recording and reporting from field observations Production & Crop Management Skills :- Employers also value: Nursery or greenhouse crop management Fertigation and irrigation knowledge Plant health monitoring Understanding of crop growth stages Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills  Ability to analyze pest outbreaks Decision making on control strategies Evaluating the effectiveness of IPM programs.  Communication & Teamwork  Ability to work with farm workers and production teams Reporting pest situations to supervisors or managers Training workers on pest monitoring Additional Advantages : - These can strengthen a job offer: Experience with biological control agents Knowledge of greenhouse climate management Experience with ornamental or vegetable crops Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting) Dümmen Orange Dümmen Orange is a global leader in the breeding and development of flowers and plants, with an annual turnover of approximately €360 million and more than 7,700 employees worldwide.
