About the position
Sales Manager (Executive Level) - Mining & Geology Solutions Johannesburg, Gauteng (Hybrid: 3 days office) Package: Basic Negotiable Up to R2 million + Pension + Medical Aid Shape the Commercial Future of a Global Mining Solutions Business An exceptional opportunity exists for a high-calibre Sales Leader to take ownership of regional growth within a globally aligned Mining & Geology solutions environment. Reporting directly to the International Commercial Manager, this role is suited to a commercially astute, strategic thinker who thrives on winning complex deals, leading high-performance teams, and influencing at executive level. This is not a pure management role - it requires a player-coach who can operate both strategically and hands-on in key revenue opportunities. Your Impact You will be entrusted with driving sustainable revenue growth and expanding market share across Southern Africa by:
- Owning and executing regional sales strategy aligned to global objectives
- Leading, mentoring, and performance-managing a team of sales professionals
- Building and converting a strong pipeline through disciplined forecasting and CRM excellence
- Winning large, complex deals within mining and/or geology solution environments
- Engaging C-suite and senior technical stakeholders across major mining houses
- Identifying new market opportunities and driving strategic account growth
- Representing the business at industry forums, conferences, and executive engagements
- Leading commercial negotiations and closing high-value contracts
- Driving customer retention through relationship management and value delivery
What Sets You Apart We are looking for a commercially driven leader with the credibility and gravitas to operate at executive level:
- Proven senior sales leadership track record within mining, geology, or related technical/solutions environments
- Demonstrated success in closing high-value, complex deals
- Strong experience engaging with executive stakeholders and decision-makers
- Solid understanding of solution-based or consultative sales methodologies
- Advanced CRM and pipeline management discipline (forecasting accuracy is critical)
- Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
- Ability to translate market intelligence into actionable commercial strategy
- Willingness to travel regionally as required
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Mining, Geology, Engineering, IT/Software, or related field
- Additional commercial or business qualifications (advantageous)
