Company Location UTCL is located along the Kampala Jinja highway near Lugazi municipal council in Buikwe district approximately 48 kilometers from Kampala City and 40 Kilometers from Jinja opposite Mt ST Mary’s College Namagunga. Company Main Activities The company mainly deals in the production of tea where 80% of the sales are for the international market and the local market 20%. Made Tea is exported to Mombasa in Kenya to the Auction market with other tea companies around East Africa and sold thereafter. The company also deals with other activities which include afforestation, coffee, cocoa and Bananas. UTCL produces over 3.5 million kilos of tea annually 10% of Uganda’s national output Key Responsibilities Supervise daily field operations for tea, coffee, and banana activities. Allocate and monitor labor to ensure productivity and timely completion of tasks. Ensure correct implementation of agronomic practices as instructed. Monitor crop condition and report pests, diseases, or field challenges. Enforce quality, safety, and environmental standards in the field. Maintain daily records of labor, outputs, and field activities. Qualifications: Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field. Experience in supervising plantation or farm operations. Practical knowledge of tea, coffee, and banana husbandry. Good communication, leadership, and basic reporting skills.
