Who are we? The Volvo Construction Equipment Uptime & customer support is at the heart of our business.
You will be working in the Logistics Solutions team which interfaces with Volvo dealers (our customers), internal personnel, and Volvo warehouses, and resolve issues as they arise to maintain high customer service and satisfaction.
Where do you make the difference?
You will provide input and expertise in the development, design, implementation and tracking of the parts return process, Parts Linq, and Reman core tracking in order to provide the highest possible level of parts support for Volvo Construction dealers and customers. You definitely have the ability to work in cross-functional teams and be able to communicate efficiently with all stakeholders. You are an inspiring team player who can motivate others. As a critical member of our team, the Logistics Platform Specialist plays a key role in streamlining our supply chain operations by optimizing the performance of our logistics platform.
Your Impact: We are looking for a self-driven individual with a “can-do” attitude that will assist in taking care of our customers’ needs. You will act as a supporting liaison between VCE North America, Volvo Purchasing North America, our dealers and our Regional Distributions Center and third-party vendors in regard to all return’s issues. You also are a key connection between contracted return centers regarding contractor performance.
Who Are You?
Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree at an accredited school. Applicants must have completed 30 semester hours before the internship starts and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75. Ability to work with others in a Team / Office environment required. Able to perform duties effectively in a fast-paced environment whether working autonomously or under direction. Must be able to work a 20-hour week between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Mon-Friday. What You Will Do
Support Logistics Platform Specialist with Dealer Returns Program:
- Define and implement policies and procedures related to returns
- Ensure dealer compliance with return policies
- Coordinate dealers buy backs, terminations; special returns, MMI returns, non MMI RSL’s
- Schedule dealer returns and coordinate returns preparations
- Manage credit process and resolve disputed claims
- Determine when appropriate to restock vs. scrap for return materials
- Manage manual discrepancies
- Maintain returns status/history in retrievable fashion delivered monthly
- Train dealers when required
Support Core Credit Reconciliation
- Provide core return analysis and reconciliation when required
- Balance core banks as required
- Adjudicate system versus manual credits when intervention is required
Support Freight Reconciliation
- Freight reconciliation (damage credits)
- Manual Credits to support department as requested
Support the Logistics Platform Specialist in CRM
- Master Data setup dealer changes
- Maintain freight rate tables
- Maintain BRF rules for discrepancy and buybacks.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
