Team: NPT Product Team Data and AI are rapidly transforming building management. From predictive maintenance and fault detection to optimizing and automating, data is the enabler that helps operate the building and analyze results. iBOS Data & EMS provides a simple way to securely and reliably access operational data generated by buildings, formatted for immediate use in intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualizations, as well as existing Business Intelligence (BI) or analytics platforms. Built on the iBOS stack and powered by the secure iBOS Connect technology, it enables facility managers and property teams to easily integrate building data into their preferred digital environment and explore, monitor, and act on it. The possibilities are endless, and we have only touched on the first small implementations. About the Role As a Technical Product Owner for iBOS Data & EMS, you'll own the product roadmap and backlog for our data and energy optimizing solutions. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping products that are quickly becoming central to our customers' energy, data management, and analytics strategies. Working closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders, you'll ensure we deliver measurable value through dashboards, APIs, and scalable data solutions. What You'll Do Help define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for iBOS Data, aligned with business and customer goals. Own and continuously refine the product backlog, translating strategic objectives into clear user stories and system specifications. Collaborate with development teams to ensure technical feasibility, data integrity, and high-quality delivery. Prioritize features based on customer value, ROI, API usability, and strategic fit. Work closely with customers and support teams to understand data needs, pain points, and integration scenarios. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery ceremonies in an agile environment. Support QA efforts and contribute to documentation, training, and onboarding materials. Track dependencies, manage risks, and ensure smooth epic delivery across teams. Champion a data-driven culture using analytics to guide decisions and validate hypotheses. What You Bring Proven experience in technical product management, ideally within SaaS, data analytics, Energy Management Systems (EMS), or IoT domains. Strong understanding of data pipelines, APIs, dashboards, and BI integrations. Experience working with agile development teams and managing end-to-end product delivery cycles. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-informed decisions and measure feature impact. Excellent communication skills, being able to bridge technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, product analytics platforms, and API testing tools. Experience with both monolithic and microservice-based architectures. Comfortable facilitating design sprints, prototyping, and rapid validation of new ideas. Experience running A/B tests and integrating customer feedback into iterative development. Bonus Points Background in smart buildings, building automation, or energy management systems (EMS). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Grafana) or embedded analytics. Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, or other building data protocols. Passion for sustainability, digital transformation, and unlocking value from building data.
