Security Engineer – Microsoft E5 & Defender Implementation – 17046

Assignment Description

We are looking for a hands-on Security Engineer

What You Will Work On

• Deploy Microsoft Defender for Identity (V3) on Domain Controllers (passive mode)
• Migrate from Trend Micro XDR to Defender for Endpoint across ~2,100 devices
• Configure and optimize endpoint protection policies (ASR rules, security baselines)
• Transition from Trend Micro Mail Protection to Defender for Office 365
• Implement and configure email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Ensure equivalent or improved security posture during migrations
• Work with Microsoft FastTrack resources and internal stakeholders
• Perform PowerShell scripting and automation where needed
• Provide best practice recommendations and technical guidance
• Drive implementation independently and ensure timely delivery

What You Bring

• Proven experience implementing Microsoft E5 security capabilities
• Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft Defender suite
• Experience working in hybrid environments (Entra ID + on-prem AD)
• Ability to drive technical implementation independently
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills
• Experience with endpoint and email security migrations
• Good understanding of security best practices and frameworks
• Strong problem-solving and execution capabilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

This role is primarily remote, with a requirement to be onsite in Skåne County once per month
