Job description Salary - Competitive Location - Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN16 1XA Pattern of Work – 42 hour shifts or 36.5 hours days

What you need to know about the role

  • Lead and motivate multi-disciplined operational teams, creating the conditions for safe, focused and productive working in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Support daily and shift priorities, working with the Shift Manager or Area Manufacturing Manager to meet throughput, plant operating targets and KPI requirements.
  • Maintain performance and discipline across your team, including monitoring attendance, identifying training needs, and putting plans in place to develop individual and team capability.
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to minimise downtime, manage interruptions, and support major planned maintenance activities.
  • Oversee safe systems of work, including supervising contractors and ensuring Management of Work standards are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve plant performance, processes and ways of working across your area of responsibility.
  • Balance resources effectively, planning manning levels and deploying people dynamically to meet operational demands.

What we need to know about you You will have:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive performance and maintain standards.
  • Experience in a process or manufacturing environment.
  • A Degree/HNC or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience).
  • The enthusiasm and drive needed to deliver results in a demanding operational setting.
