Environmental Sustainability Intern
Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sustainability Manager to join our Corporate Social Responsibility team at Coca-Cola. The successful candidate will lead and support initiatives that enhance the sustainability of our operations, reduce our environmental footprint, and promote sustainable practices throughout our supply chain. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of sustainability issues in the CPG industry.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with the company’s goals and values.
Environmental Impact Management
- Monitor and report on key environmental performance metrics, including carbon footprint, water usage, waste management, and energy consumption.
Supply Chain Sustainability
- Work with suppliers to ensure sustainable sourcing of materials and adherence to environmental standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, NGOs, and regulatory bodies, to advance sustainability initiatives.
Compliance And Reporting
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability policies.
Education And Advocacy
Advocate for a culture of sustainability within the organization and promote involvement in sustainability initiatives
Education Requirements
Related Work Experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
- Must be highly motivated, flexible and deadline driven.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong planning and organization skills are required.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required.
