Finance Assistant (Interim)
Location: London (hybrid) Contract: Interim for 4 months Start Date: ASAP
Salary £35,000 (converted to a day rate)
We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join a large organisation within the education / professional services sector. This role reports to the Finance Manager of the fundraising team and will work predominantly on all the expense claims within the department. Key duties include:
- Working within the central fundraising team to review all the expenses on a daily basis.
- Liaising with the team to ensure all missing information is found to ensure a more transparent expense claim.
- Escalate any high value expenses to ensure they can be authorised.
- Provide first line support within the establishment to solve any routine issues
- Input information on the database to ensure accurate records across all departments
- Making suggestions to ensure way of processing expense information
- Building relationships with external bodies
- Compliance with processes, procedures and standards
This role would suit someone with at least a year's experience in an accounts department with some exposure to expenses. You will have strong systems and communications skills. This is a really friendly team and a good environment to work in. Immediate availability (or short notice) is essential.
