DBA Engineer

We are looking for a DBA Engineer to join our teams!

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) or similar role
• Expertise in relational databases, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis), and analytical database ClickHouse
• Resolve complex performance bottlenecks in large-scale environments
• Strong knowledge of database optimization, indexing, partitioning, and replication
• Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting slow queries across different SQL dialects
• Implement database changes with minimal business impact
• Experience with cloud database platforms
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for database deployment and management
• Experience with observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack) for database monitoring and logging
• Familiarity with database backup, recovery, failover, and disaster recovery strategies
• Design and implement HA/DR architectures
• Troubleshooting of problems, problem analysis and solution implementation
• Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Aurora)
• Knowledge of scripting for automation ( Bash, SQL scripts).
• Understanding of data security best practices, encryption, and compliance requirements
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and high-traffic applications
• Ability to work with DevOps teams to integrate databases into CI/CD workflows

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance database systems to support large-scale applications
• Optimize database queries, indexing strategies, and partitioning to enhance performance
• Monitor database health, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery
• Manage and fine-tune SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse)
• Implement database security policies, encryption, and access control to protect sensitive data
• Automate database backups, replication, and failover mechanisms.
• Work closely with developers to optimize queries, schema design, and data modeling
• Perform capacity planning and monitor database growth trends
• Ensure compliance with data governance,, and other regulatory requirements
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for database provisioning and configuration, migrations and versioning
• Participate in defining and enforcing data modeling standards and best practices

Technical Stack: PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) and analytical database ClickHouse, Terraform, Ansible, Grafana, Supersets, Splunk
