Document Controller & Compliance Administrator (Fixed Term Contract)

£30,000 (DOE) + Bonus
Adore Recruitment are working in partnership with a reputable principal contractor operating across commercial construction and refurbishment projects to recruit a Document Controller & Compliance Administrator on a full-time fixed term contract.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in construction who understands the importance of accurate documentation, site compliance, and supporting project delivery across multiple live environments.
The Role
Working closely with Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and subcontractors, you will take ownership of document control and compliance processes across a range of active construction projects. You will ensure all project documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with site and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will manage and control all construction documentation including drawings, RAMS, site files, and compliance records, ensuring correct version control and distribution to site teams and stakeholders. You will play a key role in supporting live projects by ensuring documentation is readily available, accurate, and audit-ready at all times.
You will be responsible for maintaining Health & Safety documentation in line with construction standards, ensuring subcontractor compliance is complete before site attendance, and liaising with both clients and supply chain partners to obtain required documentation.
You will also manage Constructionline and other accreditation platforms, ensuring the business remains compliant and pre-qualified for tender opportunities.
In addition, you will oversee training and competency records, maintaining the training matrix, tracking certifications such as CSCS and relevant site qualifications, and coordinating refresher training where required.
You will provide ongoing administrative support to the construction team, assisting with audits, site documentation packs, and ensuring all processes align with company procedures and industry regulations.
About You
You will have previous experience working within a construction environment, ideally as a Document Controller or within a compliance or site administration role.
You will have a strong understanding of construction documentation including drawings, RAMS, and subcontractor compliance requirements. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and confident managing documentation across multiple projects.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be liaising with site teams, contractors, and clients. You will also be confident using systems such as Adobe, Excel, and document management platforms.
