HR Manager PT
Description
We are looking for an experienced and resilient HR Manager(Part time) to join Supreme Education. You will act as the guardian of our organisational culture and the architect of our people strategy. This is not a “behind-the-desk” role; you will work closely with senior leadership to manage recruitment, ensure compliance with UK employment law, and support both academic and administrative teams to perform at their highest level.
You will play a key role in bridging our fast-paced educational environment with the structure required to scale safely, effectively, and with impact.
Key Responsibilities****1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for tutors, mentors, support staff, and administrative roles.
- Create engaging job descriptions and manage postings across UK job platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Design and deliver a structured onboarding programme to ensure all new staff understand Supreme Education’s mission, values, and safeguarding responsibilities.
2. Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Act as the first point of contact for staff concerns, disciplinaries, and welfare issues, ensuring compliance with ACAS guidelines.
- Work with team leaders to implement performance reviews and track KPIs aligned with educational outcomes and service delivery.
- Oversee absence, sickness, and holiday management.
3. Compliance & Administration
- Ensure all employment contracts, policies, and staff handbooks are compliant with current UK employment law.
- Oversee Right to Work checks, DBS checks, and safer recruitment processes.
- Work with finance to ensure accurate payroll processing, including any variable pay structures.
4. Culture & Strategy
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture aligned with Supreme Education’s mission of advancing education.
- Lead staff engagement initiatives, training, and wellbeing programmes.
- Support leadership with workforce planning as the organisation grows.
Requirements
- Experience: 2–5 years in a generalist HR role (standalone experience desirable).
- Sector Experience: Experience in education, youth services, or mission-driven organisations is highly desirable.
- Qualification: CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK employment law and safeguarding requirements.
