Digital Public Sector IT Business Analyst

Description

We are seeking a Public Sector ICT Digital Business Analyst to join our team, responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role involves eliciting business requirements, converting them into technical specifications, and supporting the delivery of our Digital Strategy and Public Sector Plan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Digital ICT project analysis and a deep understanding of digital processes and customer experience outcomes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Develop digital customer journeys that leverage technology to deliver better customer experiences and outcomes.
  • Elicit, develop, prioritise, and manage business requirements for digital projects.
  • Develop technical specifications and system solutions based on thorough analysis of applications, integrations, and data models.
  • Undertake analysis to support the development of business cases for technology investments.
  • Lead testing processes to ensure new systems or changes meet expected outcomes.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders at all levels to understand business requirements and explain complex technical concepts in plain language.
  • Update and support the development of technology and applications architecture documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues with applications and technology infrastructure, identifying root causes and providing solutions.
  • Provide documentation for systems to support training and maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in undertaking analysis for ICT projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of existing and emerging technology and its application within projects.
  • Strong understanding of information management and governance approaches.
  • Experience in developing data models and technical specifications based on business requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Educated to at least degree level in an ICT discipline or equivalent significant experience.
  • Relevant professional certification or continuous professional development in ICT.
