Financial Reporting Accountant

We are pleased to be working with a household name on the outskirts of Reading who are seeking a qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge across financial reporting, controls and compliance. They offer superb benefits as well as hybrid working, typically two days a week, and a 35 hour working week.

Responsibilities:

• Producing statutory and consolidated financial reports
• Providing sound technical expertise on all accounting, VAT, and tax matters
• Managing monthly balance sheet reviews while enhancing controls and processes
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns, corporation tax declarations, and other statutory submissions
• Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met
• Producing short and long-term cash flow forecasts

Requirements:

• Proven experience in statutory reporting
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP
• Practical experience across VAT and tax
• Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement
