Payroll Accountant

Payroll Accountant (Contract) - East London (Hybrid) We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Payroll Accountant to join their team on a contract basis until February 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Location: East London Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end processing of monthly payroll
• Ensuring payroll is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time
• Calculating and processing commission payments alongside standard payroll
• Managing payroll queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently
• Maintaining employee records and ensuring data integrity
• Supporting with payroll reporting and reconciliations
• Liaising with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a payroll-focused role
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and statutory requirements
• Experience calculating commissions or variable pay structures
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
