Senior QA Engineer
Description
NICE Systems is looking for a highly skilled Accessibility Tester with profound knowledge in WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 (Level A & AA). The ideal candidate demonstrates hands-on accessibility testing experience, a high level of detail orientation, and a strong focus on ensuring inclusive, user‑centered design.
RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure compliance of our product with accessibility standards and regulation according to WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 (Level A & AA). Conduct accessibility testing across software products and web applications to ensure compliance with relevant standards. Manual accessibility testing beyond automated tools (focus order, keyboard traps, screen reader flow, error handling) Identify, document, and track accessibility issues with clear, actionable details. Stay up to date with evolving accessibility guidelines, standards, and industry tools. Participate in product planning and development activities to help ensure accessibility is built in from the start.
SKILLS 5+ years of experience. Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 (Level A & AA). Ability to accurately map accessibility issues to WCAG success criteria. Awareness of major accessibility regulations (Section 508, EN 301 549). Hands-on testing experience with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, Narrator). Hands-on testing experience with Voice Control or comparable speech recognition software. Experience using automated accessibility testing tools (axe DevTools or equivalent). Strong knowledge of semantic HTML and keyboard interaction patterns for custom components, including accessibility of dynamic content. Nice to have:
Relevant certification in accessibility testing. Understanding of ARIA roles, states, and common pitfalls for accessibility testing. Ability to interpret design artifacts (wireframes, Figma, UX flows) and anticipate potential accessibility issues early.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject. Upper-intermediate level of English.
