Sub Agent

Your new company A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Sub Agent to join a major new highways project in the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to support the Site Agent and Project Manager in delivering a significant programme of works to the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

The project includes substantial roadworks and structures packages, so experience in these areas will be highly advantageous. Applications are also welcomed from candidates with broader highways or civil engineering backgrounds.

Your new role As Sub Agent, you will support the delivery of a defined section of works on a major highways scheme.

• Producing, updating and supervising the programme of works
• Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with day to day management
• Ensuring full Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance
• Maintaining accurate records including site diaries, inspections and reports
• Supervising and monitoring the site team and supply chain
• Maintaining relationships with subcontractors and key stakeholders
• Completing weekly and monthly progress and performance reporting
• Ensuring RAMS, inductions, permits and briefings are carried out correctly
• Conducting daily, weekly and monthly inspections and audits
• Producing and maintaining the project QA file

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience as a Sub Agent within highways or civil engineering
• Background in roadworks or structures is desirable
• Strong understanding of HSEQ compliance
• Ability to manage programmes, inspections, reporting and team supervision
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience delivering works safely and efficiently on infrastructure projects
