Description
PURPOSE To assist in ensuring efficient operations of the Plant against set objectives, thus maintenance of the Plant. Assist in attending breakdowns as and when required. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintenance Create job cards. Execute Engineering work as planned. Inspect equipment in a working area. Perform general and process maintenance/repairs
- electrical/ mechanical. Execute planned and routine maintenance tasks. Perform fault-finding on centrifugal pumps, electrical motors, diesel engines, hydraulic systems. Perform quality assurance inspections on service providers. Health and Safety Maintain company and client safety policy and procedure requirements. Promote safety performance. Conduct risk assessments and planned task observations. Investigate and report all incidents. Ensure Mine Health and Safety compliance. Operations Maintain good housekeeping standards. Assist to operate the Plant when required. Rectify process deficiencies. Monitor Plant performance to obtain optimum production. Advise operations on sub-standard practices. Manage spares. Performed Administration Compile all reports regarding safety, production, quality control and maintenance. Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used and any issues encountered. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Grade 12 or N3 Engineering Studies Trade Test Certificate in Millwright (MQA / Merseta preferred) EXPERIENCE Minimum five years experience as a qualified Millwright Previous mining / production / construction environment exposure (preferable) Good working knowledge of star/delta starters and VSD systems PLC basic programming experience and field application Experience on internal combustion engines (diesel) SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Technical Communication (both written and verbal) Problem-solving and analytical Report writing Time management Interpersonal Attention to detail
