ROLE OVERVIEW The QA/QC Team Lead will oversee the day-to-day quality assurance and quality control activities on construction projects, leading a team of QA/QC inspectors and engineers to ensure all works are executed in strict compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings hands-on construction experience and a strong commitment to delivering excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and supervise the QA/QC team across all active construction sites. Implement and enforce the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) on all projects. Carry out and coordinate site inspections, material testing, and quality audits. Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality control plans. Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. Identify, document, and manage non-conformances (NCRs) and drive timely resolution. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and consultants on quality-related issues. Monitor the quality performance of subcontractors and suppliers and take corrective action where necessary. Maintain comprehensive quality records, inspection reports, and documentation for all project phases. Conduct root cause analysis on defects or failures and implement preventive measures. Mentor and train junior QA/QC staff and site personnel on quality standards and procedures. Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to senior management. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field. Relevant professional certification (e.g. COREN, NIOB, NIA, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) — MANDATORY. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC within the construction industry. Experience in construction — Strong Advantage. Experience with high-rise structures and infrastructure projects — Added Advantage. Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and quality management systems (ISO 9001). Proficiency in quality documentation, reporting, and construction management software. Proven leadership, mentoring, and team management skills. Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
