Micro Credit Loan Officer

Key Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and onboard potential clients for microcredit loans. Conduct credit appraisals and risk assessments of clients’ businesses and repayment capacity. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all loan applications, approvals, and disbursements. Monitor loan utilization and follow up on repayments to ensure portfolio quality. Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Collaborate with the credit and recovery teams to manage delinquent accounts. Prepare periodic reports on loan performance, client feedback, and portfolio trends. Promote the bank’s financial products and services to existing and potential clients. Requirements & Qualifications Educational Background: Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in microcredit, loan processing, or related roles (preferably in a Microfinance Bank or financial institution). Strong understanding of micro lending principles, credit analysis, and risk management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of local markets and communities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under minimal supervision.
