Sector: Microfinance Banking (Tier-2) Status: Full-time | Executive Management Job Summary A reputable and fast-growing Tier-2 Microfinance Bank, licensed by the CBN and operating within Ekiti State, is seeking the services of a visionary, results-oriented, and highly experienced financial services professional to serve as its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO). The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction, ensuring sustainable growth, operational efficiency, sound risk management, and strong corporate governance. The MD/CEO will be responsible for driving innovation, strengthening customer confidence, and positioning the bank as a preferred financial partner within the MSME and retail markets space. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve the bank's mission, vision, and profitability objectives. Business Development: Develop and execute innovative business strategies that enhance market share, digital transformation, and customer satisfaction. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with CBN regulations, corporate governance standards, and all statutory requirements. Product Strategy: Oversee the development of products and services tailored to the financial needs of the target markets. Risk Management: Strengthen credit risk management, portfolio quality, and financial performance. Team Building: Build and sustain a high-performing management team with clear succession planning. Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, investors, and customers. Performance Culture: Drive a performance culture across the organization through accountability, efficiency, and professionalism. Board Reporting: Present periodic reports and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields ; a Master's degree will be an added advantage. Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in senior/executive management roles within a Microfinance or Deposit Money Bank. Certifications: Microfinance Certification Programme (MCP) through MCIB qualification is mandatory. Professional Membership: Professional qualifications such as ACIB, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are required. Core Competencies: Demonstrated competence in strategic management, credit administration, risk management, operations, and digital transformation. Technology: Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in modern banking technology and management systems. Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the Ekiti State business environment and its unique economic landscape will be an added advantage.
