The role The Managing Director serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the company. The person in that seat will handle the day-to-day operations of ABU Press Limited and report to the Board of Directors. Qualities required Applicants must show clear strength in leadership and management. The Board stated that each applicant must have: A proven record of success in driving progressive organisational change and development Strong communication and negotiation skills A proven record of management ability, including experience in finance, organisational development and team leadership Clear competence in developing and carrying out strategic initiatives, policies and procedures Qualification and experience Applicants must meet the stated academic and work requirements. The Board listed the following: HND in Printing Technology, or a good honours degree in Production Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, or other printing and publishing related fields A relevant postgraduate degree or diploma will count as an added advantage Computer skills and application Membership of the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria or the Institute of Printing of Nigeria At least fifteen years of related work experience At least five years in a senior management position in a leading modern printing and publishing company Tenure and conditions of service The appointment is for five years in the first instance. The term may be renewed for a second and final term, subject to satisfactory performance. The notice also states that the pay and service conditions follow what applies to the post of Managing Director under the staff conditions of service of ABU Press Limited.
