Head, Quantity Surveyor

This role is critical in ensuring cost efficiency, contract compliance, and overall financial success of our developments. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capability and a proactive approach to risk and value management. Key Responsibilities Cost Management & Financial Control: Lead project cost planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets Provide regular cost reports and advise management on financial performance Contract & Commercial Management Oversee preparation, review, and administration of contracts Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations ⁠Procurement & Tendering Supervise BOQ preparation and tender documentation Lead contractor selection, bid evaluation, and negotiation processes Ensure value for money across all procurements Project Commercial Oversight Certify valuations and approve payments to contractors Monitor cash flow and profitability across projects Identify and manage commercial risks Leadership & Team Management Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying team Review team deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality Mentor and develop junior team members Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams Provide strategic commercial advice to support decision-making Represent the company in high-level negotiations Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field ⁠Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of cost control, contract administration, and procurement Proven experience managing large-scale construction or real estate projects Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills Professional certification (e.g., NIQS, RICS) is an added advantage
