PeopleSoft Business Analyst

Job Title: PeopleSoft Business Analyst (Fixed Assets / Lease Accounting) Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid 3 days onsite) Duration: Long Term Job Description: We are hiring a PeopleSoft Business Analyst to support Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting functions for a major public sector client. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the financial reporting team and later transition into a key role within a large-scale PeopleSoft implementation project. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with financial reporting teams to analyze and compile financial data for reporting (ACFR, GAAP, GASB) Support Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting operations Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards Participate in full SDLC: requirements, design, testing, and implementation Create and execute system test scenarios and support regression testing Work on Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, and Enhancements (RICE components) Provide Tier 2 functional support, troubleshoot issues, and assist end users Collaborate with technical teams (developers) for system improvements Maintain documentation, job aids, and training materials Required Skills: Experience as a Business Analyst (PeopleSoft preferred) Strong knowledge of financials / accounting (GAAP) Experience with Fixed Assets or Lease Accounting (preferred) Understanding of SDLC and system testing Ability to read SQL / PeopleCode (nice to have) Strong analytical and communication skills
