Design and Technical Manager (Healthcare Construction Project)

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Uyo for a Design and Technical Manager specializing in healthcare construction projects. The individual will manage design-related processes and technical aspects of healthcare development projects, including overseeing project planning, monitoring technical support activities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with industry standards, and delivering high-quality project outcomes. Responsibilities also include leadership in research and development, resource allocation, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. What You’ll Do You will: Lead the full design lifecycle from concept through construction and as-built delivery Drive multidisciplinary coordination across architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist healthcare systems Review, validate, and approve all design deliverables to ensure compliance and quality Resolve design clashes, technical conflicts, and constructability challenges proactively Act as the key interface between consultants, contractors, and project leadership Align design outputs with construction sequencing, cost, and schedule requirements Oversee BIM coordination using tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Support procurement through technical evaluations of bids and vendor submissions Manage design changes, documentation control, and approval processes Lead and mentor technical teams while driving performance and accountability Who We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred) 15+ years of experience in design and technical management Proven track record on large-scale, complex projects (hospital, infrastructure, high-rise) Strong expertise in multidisciplinary design coordination (Arch, Structural, MEP) Proficiency in Revit, BIM platforms, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and project tools Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and compliance frameworks Experience managing consultants, contractors, and diverse project stakeholders Who Should Apply Design Managers / Technical Managers ready for a career-defining project Senior Architects/Engineers stepping into strategic design leadership Nigerian professionals seeking exposure to international healthcare standards Expatriates with experience in complex, high-value construction projects
