Business Banking Relationship Manager

Summary This role will be summarily responsible to build, manage and grow huge deposit mobilization from large corporate clients; drive deposits, lending, and cross-sell opportunities that align with our Organization's business banking growth strategy. Summarily manage non-retail business customers. Responsibilities Drive growth in deposits, credits, and transactional volumes from clients in acquired portfolios. Mobilize large deposits from Big Segments viz: Shipping, Construction, Car Auto dealers, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Agriculture/Commodities, Health & Pharma, Aviation Value chain, Construction, Crypto etc. Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to drive trust and retention. Drive consistent client inflows into client's Nombank account Ensure at least 20% of client deposits are retained as sustainable sitting balances. Work closely with product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery. Provide financial advisory and business solutions tailored to client needs (working capital, trade finance, payments, investment options, etc.). Partner with Product and Treasury teams to deliver innovative solutions that support client growth. Drive revenue via advisory fees, underwriting fees, fund management fees, etc. Ensure compliance adherence with CBN, AML/CFT, and regulatory policies. Requirements Educational and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA or professional certification (CIBN, ACCA, CFA) is an advantage. Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in Fintech business or commercial banking with proven relationship management success. Strong understanding of credit analysis, SME financing, and market dynamics. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and digital banking solutions Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Leadership: leading deal teams, driving strategy, building products Objective & Key Result Areas Client Acquisition: Onboard at least 50 active crypto clients within the first 3 months Inflows Growth: Achieve ₦50B in monthly inflows in 6 months Sitting Balances: Ensure clients maintain at least 20% of deposits as average monthly balance AUM Growth: Grow aggregate Assets Under Management (AUM) to ₦10B in 6 months Compensation Package Competitive base salary + 5–10% bonus Performance-based commissions and bonuses Health insurance, pension, and paid time-off benefit Learning & development allowance Career progression opportunities in a challenging performance driven environment
